Our review for Cosentino’s last magic show at MBS
Asia Magician Network was invited to Cosentino magic show in Singapore at MBS and this magic show was definitely a crowd favourite. We love his style of using steampunk as the main design for his costume and illusions. The consistent style can be seen even in the whole show’s choreography, making it an amazing theatre production.
There was a good mix of
- death-defying magic,
- exciting illusions,
- audience interaction as well as
- close-up magic (projected on the screen so no matter where you sit, you can see it.) giving the spectators an experience of a fun rollercoaster ride.

As the finale, Cosentino performed a Harry Houdini inspired death-defying escape from a water tank. (Historically. coined as the Chinese water torture cell by Harry Houdini but it was never used by the Chinese.) Audience members were invited onstage to check the authenticity of his locks and chains before he does his stuff. When the countdown started, the magician kept the spectators at the edge of their seats. (The finale of the recent Illusionist show at MBS was also the water torture cell escape by Andrew Basso! I definitely hope there will be some differences for this show.)
On the whole, we think it is a value-for-money magic show for everyone. At the price point of just $58 for the cheapest tickets, we think it is a no-brainer to go with your loved ones or family.
