About James Jien:

James Jien magician

A member of the IBM International Society of Magicians, James Jien entered the world of magic in 2001, apprenticing under pioneer Chinese illusionist, Charles. He is one of the few truly “all-around magicians” in the industry, with performances spanning the globe.

James’s background also includes visual illusion and close-up magic, and he has received recognition from major Asian media outlets and television. However, his true artistic achievement lies in fusing these skills to create immersive experiences that inspire mindfulness, self-discovery, and wonder. Whether it’s telepathy, hypnosis, or illusion, James’s performances are meticulously crafted to attract, entertain, and inspire new perspectives.

His name has appeared on major stages around the world—from the “Disappearing Bus,” Asia’s largest illusion witnessed by 300,000 live audience members, to appearing at New York Fashion Week as the first Chinese magician to perform there, and being invited to perform as a guest at the world’s magic mecca—Hollywood’s Magic Castle.

In the film and television industry, he is a high-profile figure in television magic. Besides the long-running weekend ratings champion in Taiwan, “Diamond Nightclub,” he has been a regular performer on major programs and galas on CCTV, Hunan TV, Beijing TV, and Dragon TV. He also serves as the magic design consultant for numerous cross-industry projects—including Liu Qian’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala performance of “The Magic Piano,” TVB’s “Street Magic King,” stage plays, films, concerts, and international brand events.
